History

Designed by Hungarian architect Ignác Alpár, constructed between 1911 and 1915, and fully rejuvenated in 2016, Váci 1 is a UNESCO World Heritage listed building in downtown Budapest, housing a mix of commercial functions, retail and office areas, restaurants and bars. The authentically restored heritage details include glass windows designed by art deco glass artist Miksa Róth, columns, tympanums, stone reliefs, tiles and mosaics, golden and marble surfaces, and lighting fixtures.

Besides the historic reconstruction, the 2016 refurbishment also entailed the creation of 3 office floors and a 3-story retail area. Váci1 offers an elegant and prestigious architectural setting, equipped with the latest technologies, prepared for modern functions. Companies that call Váci 1 their home include the H&M flagship store, Hard Rock Café,  Szamos Gourmet Palace, DVM group, Horizon Development, Cushman & Wakefield, Ostermann, St. Andrea Wine & Skybar, and Club Heaven.
